The data cited by the media also shows that since October, the number of daily active users of Google’s chatbot has increased fourfold. In March, there were 35 million Gemini daily active users. In October, the corresponding figure was 9 million.

According to Google data, OpenAI’s ChatGPT had 600 million monthly active users in March. In September, Meta chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg stated that the number of monthly active users of the chatbot from this technology giant was about 500 million.

In the first half of the current month, it became known that Google had removed the head of Gemini. The media claim that the reason for this decision was that the chatbot continues to lag behind ChatGPT. Sissie Hsiao stepped down to be replaced by Josh Woodward, the head of Google Labs.

The media also released information according to which Google DeepMind chief executive officer Demis Hassabis told staffers in a memo that the change in leadership would sharpen the focus on the next evolution of the Gemini app.
