The mentioned virtual product is called AutoGLM Rumination. Startup chief executive officer Zhang Peng said at a lunch event in Beijing that an AI agent can perform in-depth research and tasks such as web searches, travel planning, and research report writing.

AutoGLM Rumination is powered by startup proprietary artificial intelligence models. In this case, the reasoning model GLM-Z1-Air and foundation model GLM-4-Air-0414 are also meant. The startup claims that the GLM-Z1-Air is not inferior in terms of performance to DeepSeek R1. Moreover, Zhipu AI stated that its artificial intelligence model runs eight times faster than the mentioned competing product and requires only one-thirtieth of the computing resources.

AI agents are functional systems designed to make decisions and autonomously execute a range of tasks.

Zhipu AI was founded in 2019 as a spinoff from a Tsinghua University laboratory. The startup is one of the leading artificial intelligence developers in China. Zhipu AI claims that its latest digital intelligence model called GLM4 outperforms OpenAI’s GPT-4 on several benchmarks.

It is worth noting that during the period of active development of artificial intelligence, the issue of cybersecurity has become more relevant. Scammers also have access to AI tools. For this reason, their activities have become more sophisticated. To counteract the corresponding threat in the virtual space, personal awareness of users is important. For example, an Internet search query such as how to know if my camera is hacked will allow anyone to get information about signs of unauthorized access to the device. Digital literacy is an effective tool for combating cybercrime.
