DoorDash Launches Flexible Payment Options

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options from Klarna will be available for DoorDash orders soon.

DoorDash Launches Flexible Payment Options

The payment company announced its new integration partnership with the delivery platform this week. The relevant information is contained in a press release published by Klarna. The payment company will offer DoorDash customers in the United States the flexibility and convenience to pay for the delivery of restaurant food, groceries, and retail goods.

The press release also contains information according to which in the coming months DoorDash.com and DoorDash app users will have access to three payment options, including Pay in Full, Pay in 4, and Pay Later. At the same time, dates are not specified in this case.

Pay in Full means that customers pay the entire amount of their purchases immediately through Klarna’s payment system. Pay in 4 provides that the total cost is divided into four equal and interest-free installments. The Pay Later option allows consumers to defer payments as their personal finances allow.

Klarna chief commercial officer David Sykes stated that the partnership with DoorDash is an important milestone in the company’s expansion into everyday spending categories. It was also underlined that Klarna, by offering smarter and more flexible payment solutions for groceries, takeout, and retail essentials, makes convenience more accessible to millions of Americans.

Besides, the press release noted that the new BNPL integration can be used to pay for the expanding array of products available through DoorDash, including electronics, home improvement supplies, and beauty products.

Consumers can also leverage Klarna’s payment solutions for their DashPass Annual Plan.
