Nuvei Brings Omnichannel Payments to UK Gaming

Canadian fintech company Nuvei yesterday announced the launch of its omnichannel payment solution specifically tailored for the UK gaming industry.

The solution is basically a single platform that unifies all payment channels used by local gaming providers and serves as a seamless connection between retail and digital gaming experiences. It simplifies financial operations and reduces transaction costs via common card tokenization across online and offline channels. Besides, the solution offers comprehensive reporting and analytics features. It provides valuable insights into player behaviour across all channels, enabling data-driven decision-making and ultimately improving overall player satisfaction. Furthermore, the platform helps identify online customers when they visit in person, making it easier to offer better loyalty rewards and personalised promotions, which helps build stronger connections with game players.

Nuvei’s advanced omnichannel payment transaction solution for merchants and commercial platforms has been facilitating business payments for about a year now. Nuvei brings together card-present (CP) and card-not-present (CNP) technologies, allowing businesses to handle e-commerce, mobile payments, and in-store transactions seamlessly. This solution lets sellers integrate online and in-store payment processing into one system, simplifying operation management across different jurisdictions and sale points.

The unified system adds flexibility to multi-channel sales. For instance, Nuvei’s new solution lets customers add items to their cart and place an order using one channel. At the same time, they can change their order or ask for a refund through another channel. Businesses can also set different prices, loyalty rewards, and offers for online and in-store purchases to boost engagement through this particular channel.

Buzz Bingo, a UK-based operator, is already benefiting from Nuvei’s Omnichannel payment solution. Sam Bailey, Head of Product Fraud & Payments at Buzz Bingo, praised the platform for improving the firm’s retail payment infrastructure as well as Nuvei’s commitment to continuous system development and collaboration. Bailey also appreciated the fintech’s flexibility, which allowed Buzz Bingo to actively contribute to building the roadmap, strengthening their partnership and enhancing payment options for their customers. Both companies look forward to working together to maximise their business potential.

Though the omnichannel payment solution for gaming is particularly tailored for the UK market, it enables global sales with the possibility to localise payment methods and compliance with global regulations.

The UK gaming market is the largest in Europe, surpassing both Germany and France in annual revenues. Globally, it also ranks among the top ten markets, along with the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Canada, Italy, and Mexico. The volume of the UK gaming market in 2024 was about £4.62 billion. Its largest segment is mobile gaming, responsible for a major share of £1.56 billion.
