The media published information according to which the Japanese SoftBank Group plans to invest $ 1 trillion in the construction of artificial intelligence-equipped factories in the United States.
The mentioned factories will be located in industrial parks throughout the US. The robots that will be equipped with these production sites will be designed to provide a solution for American manufacturers facing labor shortages.
The relevant information was published on Friday, March 28, by Japanese media with reference to anonymous insiders.
SoftBank Group did not respond to a journalist’s request for comment.
In December, the media released information according to which SoftBank Group chief executive officer Masayoshi Son intends to invest $100 billion in the United States over four years. It was also underlined that this funding will create at least 100,000 jobs focused on artificial intelligence and AI-related infrastructure.
It is worth noting that against the background of the active development of machine intelligence, the issue of cybersecurity is becoming more relevant. Scammers also have access to artificial intelligence tools. For this reason, their activities have become more sophisticated. To counteract the corresponding threat in the virtual space, personal awareness of users is important. For example, an Internet search query such as how to know if my camera is hacked will allow anyone to get information about signs of unauthorized access to the device. Digital literacy is an effective tool in combating cybercrime, but this knowledge should be updated periodically, as advanced technologies are constantly evolving.
