Sunrate and Atlas have joined forces to address challenges related to cross-border payments in the travel industry.
As part of the mentioned collaboration, Sunrate will integrate its travel payment solutions with Atlas’ Air Travel Retailing and Information Platform (ATRIP). The relevant information is contained in a press release that was posted on the Sunrate website last Tuesday, March 4.
The specified press release also noted that virtual and physical Sunrate commercial cards allow customers to settle card spending in more than 15 currencies, and customize card limits, use cases, and other parameters. In this case, consumers can also access real-time transaction statements and reconciliation tools.
Shawn Qin, head of the card business at Sunrate, said that the company’s partnership with Atlas will help travel businesses navigate complex payment landscapes with agility and confidence.
The press release contains information according to which Atlas currently cooperates with 150 low-cost airlines and serves travel professionals around the world. The company’s platform provides customers with access to low-cost carrier (LCC) content, fares, and post-ticketing services.
Mary Li, chief executive officer and founder of Atlas, stated that the partnership will provide an efficient, convenient, and secure payment infrastructure for the global travel ecosystem.
It’s worth noting that the results of industry research indicate that currently, almost two-thirds of tourism businesses cite B2B payments as at least a somewhat significant pain point.
