Visa and Fold have collaborated to launch a credit card that offers bitcoin rewards.
The Fold Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card will join the debit card products already offered by Fold. It is worth clarifying that the mentioned brand is a platform for bitcoin rewards and financial services. Information about the new credit card is contained in a press release that was published by Fold last Tuesday, February 11th. A waiting list for a new card is already available.
Fold chief executive officer Will Reeves stated that this company has already empowered hundreds of thousands of users to incorporate bitcoin into their daily lives. Also in this case, it was separately noted that with the new product, the firm aims to dethrone miles as the go-to credit card reward.
The press release contains information according to which the Fold Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card will offer consumers unlimited bitcoin rewards of up to 2% and bonuses of up to $250.
The new credit card will also provide holders with access to fee-free bitcoin trading, insured bitcoin custody, FDIC-insured transactional accounts, and bonus offers from merchants. The relevant information is contained in the press release.
Members of the Fold+ program will receive higher rewards and bonuses, a premium metal card, and other exclusive perks.

Also on Tuesday, Fold published a separate press release, which contains information that this firm and FTAC Emerald Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) sponsored by Cohen Circle, rescheduled a special meeting of stockholders to Thursday, February 13, to vote on proposals related to the proposed business combination of the brands.
It is expected that the mentioned business combination will close shortly after the special meeting, but subject to the approval of the stockholders and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
